It has come to my attention for some time now that Bui4Ever.com is taking a considerable time to load. While most of the features of the site (the Gallery) runs many times faster than on the previous webhost, the main page is running slower than it should be. According to a test run by WebsiteOptimization.com, on the current theme, the load times are:

14.4K	416.25 seconds
28.8K	208.43 seconds
33.6K	178.74 seconds
56k	107.48 seconds
ISDN 128K	33.33 seconds
T1 1.44Mbps	3.44 seconds
Total Unique Objects	536293 bytes

Using the default WordPress theme, the times are reduced to:

14.4K	73.70 seconds
28.8K	36.95 seconds
33.6K	31.70 seconds
56k	19.10 seconds
ISDN 128K	5.99 seconds
T1 1.44Mbps	0.70 seconds
Total Unique Objects	94828 bytes

Definitely a considerable difference. Also part of the reason why even with the default theme, the load times are still high is because of the thumbnail images. Those all contribute to longer load times.

I would like to continue using my custom made theme and find different ways to trim down the size to increase load times. If it becomes too time draining, I will probably end up refreshing the design.
